The report, "Farming and food:a sustainable future", published on Tuesday by the Policy Commission on the Future of Farming, calls for 10% of subsidies currently given to farmers for production, to be redirected to fund rural development and environmental measures. RICS has urged the NFU and others to give this policy, also called modulation, a chance.
