The Woodland Trust and WWF have published a report on the state of Britain's ancient woodlands and the insufficient protection afforded by planning regulations. "Development threats to ancient woodlands" is the first attempt to get accurate national data on how much ancient woodland is being lost to, or is currently threatened by, development.
