The DTLR commissioned Drivers Jonas to produce the "Compulsory Purchase Procedure Manual" (Stationery Office +44 (0)870 600 5522)offering guidance on 25 compulsory purchase powers including planning, regeneration highways, housing and the establishment of country parks. Driver Jonas has also produced a series of five booklets to replace existing guidance which acquiring authorities provide to those affected. The DTLR has "Compulsory purchase and compensation: the Government's proposals for changes" out for consultation until 27 March and further proposals are awaited from the Law Commission.
