Reports that RICS appointed Sir Brian Carsberg to report on areas of concern in the valuation industry highlighted by recent research. The "Carsberg report" makes eighteen recommendations encouraging the active participation of the RICS in developing research, providing guidance and revised procedures, and monitoring the outcome, which should benefit the whole property industry.This will minimise the risks of valuersα objectivity being compromised and ensure that public confidence in the system is maintained.
