Doctors` surgeries have often decreased in value in part because sale of NHS goodwill is illegal and because of `uncertanties and inconsistencies displayed by valuers`. This article suggests how, in light of new RICS guidelines, a better valuation approach may be achieved, examining the cost rent scheme and rent reimbursement criteria.
