The latest RICS residential lettings survey for England, Wales and Scotland for the three month period to January 2002 shows that the yields for landlords in the residential letting sector fell for the fifth consecutive quarter. A big increase in the number of investors entering the buy-to-let market, static rents and a slow down in demand combine to reduce income returns for landlords.
