A new scheme to promote competence, cut red tape and help consumers identify reputable glazing firms was one of four new self-certification schemes approved by government today. From 1 April people wishing to replace their windows will have to get building control approval either from their local authority or through a new scheme called FENSA (Fenestration Self-Assessment Scheme).
