Shortage of homes

Shortage of homes - 2002 - Joseph Rowntree Foundation Press Release 19 March 2002, (3) .

New reports from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation (JRF) argue that Britain will experience a housing shortage of over 1m homes by 2022 unless the rate of housebuilding increases significantly. The predicted housing crisis will hit London and the South the hardest, and the reports call for government action to address the supply of new and affordable homes. "Land for housing: current practice and future options" is available from JRF priced £10.95, t +44 (0)1904 430033. "Britain's housing in 2022:more shortages and homelessness?" and a briefing paper summarising "Land for housing" are available on the JRF website at http://www.jrf.org.uk.
