National Criminal Intelligence Service have warned that RICS members arebeing targeted by fraudsters promising large cash payouts in return for a small upfront investment. The scam is often connected with real estate ventures or currency conversions when an offer is made to transfer millions of pounds into the individual's bank account. At least one RICS member has already been affected by this fraud and has lost thousands of pounds.
