Chairman and vice president of the RICS Management Consultancy Faculty present their views on property firms offering management consultancy services. Chairman Paul Winter argues that management consultancy should be kept separate from other surveying services so that property firms maintain their client's trust. Winter highlights the differences between management consultants and surveyors, arguing that surveyors should take MBA qualifications to avoid being left behind in the business world. In response to the growing need for consultancy, the RICS Management Consultancy Faculty plans to set up a higher qualification criteria for chartered management consultant surveyors.
