Institute of Directors' (IOD) "Business opinion survey" for Q1 2002 indicates higher optimism amongst the business community. The report shows forward looking indicators such as companiesα order books are pointing towards recovery. Manufacturing companies continued to under perform the general economy, however improvements were noted in export order books.
