- Urban Environment Today (146) 2 May 2002, 1(1) .
A report commissioned by the DTLR calls for a change in the approach to achieving a mix of uses in towns other than building mixed use developments. It also highlights that many of the barriers to mixed use development have been overstated. The report suggests small scale developments, that in the bigger picture, create a more attractive town centre and greater housing choice.
