RICS has introduced new common auction conditions, which will make buying and selling both residential and commercial property at auction clearer and more attractive for the public as well as professionals. A new area on RICS website www.rics.org/property_auctions provides clear guidance for both the public and professionals. Auction is an increasingly popular choice for property transactions and the new conditions have been developed by the RICS Real Estate Auction Group, chaired by Richard Auterac, director at Jones Lang LaSalle.
