The message from the Rural Regeneration - Sustainable Future for Farm Buildings conference in London urged conservationists and developers to work together to help save historic farm buildings. RICS though warned that conversion was not a cure for farmers seeking to diversify and gain alternative income. It has also been revealed that many historic farm buildings have been destroyed during the recent FMD epidemic either as part of attempts to control the disease or in consequent clean-up operations.
