"Housing the Nation: the RICS housing manifesto" sets out a number of recommendations in a wide-ranging review of housing in England and Wales. The recommendations include adopting European style mortgages that offer fixed rates over the whole term, making it simpler for families to plan for the future; make greater use of tax rather than interest rates to help control spiralling house prices.
