Property and landlord and tenant cases have already encountered difficulties under the Civil Procedure Rules. Comments on the effect of parts 55 and 56 of the CPR which came into force on 15 October 2001 on possession and landlord and tenant cases. Part 55 addresses possession claims but does not significantly change pre-CPR and current procedure. Part 56 mainly deals with landlord and tenant claims especially those regarding new business tenancies under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954.
