Under a four year Platform Grant, Salford University will explore the concept of 3D computer modelling of the built environment, to cope with whole-life construction issues in the design of model buildings. The project will combine computer modelling, visualisation and simulation techniques with virtual reality, enabling the results of design ideas to be 'visualised' in advance so that true 'what-if' analysis can be performed.
