RICS has responded to DEFRA's consultation on "The flood and coastal defence funding review" with disappointment, saying that an opportunity to reform the administrative system surrounding flooding has been wasted. RICS told DEFRA that the current system is too complicated with around 233 Internal Drainage Boards, 8 regional and 11 local flood defence committees involved in decision making.
