The appellant tenant (P) held an eggshell tenancy of business premises consisting of the internal skin of part of a building, and not any load-bearing structures. The respondent landlord (L) successfully opposed P's application for a new tenancy on the ground that it intended to demolish and reconstruct the holding. The issue was whether the 'eggshell' amounted to premises capable of demolition. P appealed. "Held" appeal dismissed.
