After "Hanning v Top Deck Travel Group Ltd" CA 1993 which left many householders without legitimate access to their homes across commons, parliament eventually took steps in the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 s68 to put in place a scheme to legitimise these rights of access although the regulations under s68 of the Act are yet to be drafted. Reviews recent challenges: "Bakewell Management Ltd v Brandwood"and "R(on the application of Barron) v Surrey CC" .
