CBI monthly trends survey on manufacturing shows a slight manufacuring recovery as orders improve but still remained below normal. 18% of firms orders were above normal while 35% were below. This balance of minus 17% was better than the minus 26% in May. Export orders were also up and firms expected output to edge slowly higher.
