Post-war solution to a 21st century problem

Donati, M.

Post-war solution to a 21st century problem - 2002 - Planning (for the Natural and Built Environment) 17 May 2002, 9(1) .

Discusses the housebuilding problem in the light of Lord Falconer's suggestion that a programme of prefabricated homes would be a useful solution. Argues that the homes are an innovative idea but are no cheaper to build than conventional homes. Expresses concern that public landowners often have a greater incentive to sell land and property to private developers than to donate it for affordable housing.
