The Land Registration Act 2002 received Royal Assent on 26 February 2002 and many of the provisions are expected to come into force in October 2003. Electronic conveyancing has received great attention surrounding this act. But this article aims to show that there are other major changes to the law relating to registered land. Areas discussed are extensions of interests which must be registered; voluntary registration and overriding interests.
