The Scottish Executive has published a community regeneration statement which maps out its vision for tackling Scotland's deprived communities. "Better communities in Scotland: closing the gap" has similarities to England's neighbourhood renewal strategy and emphasises that regeneration should be achieved by improving core public services and involving local communities.
