Discusses the recent CA case "Barclays Bank plc v Savile Estates Ltd" (2002) which considers a tenant's right to make time of the essence at rent review. It was found that rent review time limits can be express or implied, and that a tenant can issue a time of the essence notice after a 'reasonable period'.
