The last of four articles on the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act 2002 looks at some of the less well known provisions of the Act designed to protect the individual leaseholder and his money. The provisions cover service charges, applications for the appointment of a manager, variation of leases, ground rents, forfeiture, and insurance, and most act as amendments to existing legislation, mainly the Landlord and Tenant Acts 1985 and 1987.
