MCG publishes accident statistics

The number of employees killed on Major Contrators Group (MCG) member sites fell from 10 workers in 2001 to 8 people this year. Between April 2001 to March 2002 there were 79 people killed across the industry. The number of people injured on MCG sites is rising with the figures of reportable injuries up from 1077 per 100 000 last year to 1201 this year.
