Eight leading environmental organisations in Europe (the Geen 8) have published a joint review of the current Commission's (led by Romano Prodi) environmental policies for the first half of its mandate. The report "How green is the Prodi Commission" claims that the Commission failed to take an international lead in sustainable development and has disregarded the environmental concerns in transport.
