Leasehold reforms - 2002 - RICS News Service 2 August 2002 (1) .

Major provisions of the Commonhold and Leasehold Reform Act - including enfranchisement and lease extensions - came into force on 26 July. The provisions are designed to provide leaseholders with more security and control over their homes by abolishing the residence test and other restrictions.
