Minister for Regeneration, Tony McNulty MP, has introduced a Draft Regulatory Reform Order aimed at revising the current system of business tenancy renewal. The framework of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 remains the same, but the legislation will reform the workings of the Act to make it easier to contract out of security of tenure and allow the tenant to apply for interim rent.
