Threefold service wins out

Threefold service wins out - 2002 - Estates Gazette (0232) 10 August 2002, 85(1) .

Discusses the issues that arose from "Bluden v Frogmore Investments Ltd" relating to the service of notices between landlord and tenant and the tragic events caused by the terrorist bombing of the Arndale Centre, Manchester. The landlord's had to serve section 25 notices to get the tenants to surrender their leases as they were protected under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954. In the case being considered the issue for the CA was whether the landlord had successfully served the termination notices given the fact that the tenant had not received the notices or was able to gain access to the premises.
