A new consultation paper sets out proposals to improve the standards of landfill sites across Scotland and prevent farm dumps from causing environmental damage. The paper is the second consultation on the implementation in Scotland of European Directive 1999/31/EC on the landfill of waste. Consultation deadline is 22 November 2002.
