The Certificate of Training Achievement (CTA) and National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS) boosted the goal to establish common standards and a single competence card for plant operators. NPORS has signed a 'memorandum of understanding' with the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) to prepare for agreed standards for the CSCS's proposed plant operator card. The CTA has not signed a deal with the CSCS, but has agreed to affiliate. CSCS website http://www.cscs.uk.com/
