A report by the New York Metropolitan Transportation Council (NYMTC) reveals less than a third of companies that had offices destroyed or damaged by the World Trade Center terrorist attacks have returned to Manhattan. "Inventory of affected businesses: their characteristics and aftermath" tracks displaced firms and jobs to analysis the impact of the terrorist attacks on employment, floorspace and travel patterns.
