Study reveals suburbs are flourishing

Study reveals suburbs are flourishing - 2002 - GLA News Release (438) 25 September 2002 Planning (for the Natural and Built Environment) 27 September 2002, 2(3) .

A study by the Greater London Authority has shown that London's suburbs are thriving despite fears that they were becoming affected by inner city ills such as drugs, crime and unemployment. The report found that London's town centres have not been as badly affected by out-of-town developments as feared but the main problems were poor transport links and decline of some shopping centres.
