Incentives to shake-up benefit

Incentives to shake-up benefit - 2002 - RICS Residential Faculty News 17 October 2002, (1) .

Substantial reform in benefit is proposed which will give tenants more choice about their housing needs. Government is intending to halve the time it takes councils to process claims and introduce shopping incentives to encourage claimants to look for lower rents. The scheme will be piloted in ten areas of the country before being rolled out across the UK.
