A survey by DTZ Research shows a 47% fall in schemes scheduled for speculative development compared with six months ago. This is caused by worsening economic conditions and is also reflected in the figures for speculative construction starts across Central London with 0.09 m sq m of schemes started compared with 0.14 m sq m in the previous six month period.
