Asbestos laws come into force - 2002 - Construction News (6794) 28 November 2002, 6(1) .

New regulations regarding protection of refurbishment workers for asbestos related conditions came into force 21 November 2002. Responsibility for monitoring asbestos products in buildings now rests with commercial property managers.
