The new Planning and Compulsory Purchase Bill is published with the aim of streamlining the planning system for business and the community. Key measures include the reduction of planning permission from five to three years; the introduction of Business Planning Zones; the removal of county structure plans; and the modernisation of the compulsory purchase system.
