Latest economic forecast by the RICS Policy Unit shows that construction output is set to rise by 5.9% this year and 4.1% in 2003. Growth in public sector work is likely to lead the rising activity with more increases in infrastructure building helped by a strong pick-up in repair and maintenance. Constuction activity growth in 2002 will exceed that of the rest of the economy for the second year in succession. Includes figures for commercial and industrial building and infrastructure and other public works.
