A new study commissioned by English Partnerships identifies England's long term brownfield sites. The study found that 2 200 sites of previously developed brownfield landd in England have remained derelict or vacant for nearly 10 years and are classed as 'hardcore' brownfield sites. The EP study used GIS data collected by 98% of all local authorities and fed into the National Land Use Database (NLUD).
