Arsenic in UK soils: reassessing the risk
Rawlins, B
Arsenic in UK soils: reassessing the risk - 2002 - Civil Engineering 150(4) November 2002, 187-190(4) .
This reports on recent studies in northeast England, which reveal that soil arsenic concentrations are frequently above the Government's recently published guideline value of 20mg/kg for residential areas. Though this in itself does not imply a significant health risk, it does show that more frequent and complex contaminated-ground risk assessments are likely to be needed in the UK generally.
