A new contract to reflect the changing industry - 2002 - Construction News (6787) 10 October 2002, 41(1) .

Discusses the new term contract, "ICE Conditions of contract term version", which has been launched by the ICE to complement partnering or framework arrangements. Claims that because it is based on previous contracts it has the advantage of familiarity. It emphasises that all work under the new contract requires a Works order, which defines the work to be done, its price, its programmed time and any matters that the engineer considers important. It excludes retentions on the basis that the client has adequate security without them, but confirms that liquidated damages are applicable to works orders.
