Nine new EU construction standards

Nine new construction product standards have been published in the EU's Official Journal, covering concrete aggregates, clay paving stones, chimney pots, anti-flooding devices for buildings, floor screeds, concrete manholes and inspection chambers: also three on fire detection and alarm systems. Prepared by the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN), the standards are designed to help manufacturers meet the requirements of the Construction Products Directive 89/106/EEC.
