Building Maintenance Information (BMI) has published a report highlighting costs to universities of up to £6 000 per year per 100sq m for the space used for teaching. The BMI "Special report 317 - occupancy costs of university teaching blocks" is available as part of the BMI subscription service: individual copies cost £50.
