The Law Commission has issued wide ranging proposals to reform compulsory purchase procedures to make it simpler and cheaper to assemble land for regeneration. The report follows a previous consultation document in 2002. The earliest they could come into effect would be summer/autumn 2004, depending on availability of parliamentary time.
