Town centres continue to be the first choice for new shopping developments in Scotland. The third annual "Retail development survey" published by the Scottish Executive provides information about new retail developments which were approved, built or opened for business in 2000. The results of the 2001 and 2002 surveys will be pulblished later in 2003.
