No halt to greenfield housing growth

No halt to greenfield housing growth - 2003 - CPRE Press Release 22 January 2003, (3) .

The Council for the Protection of Rural England (CPRE) has revealed in its latest survey of existing and emerging county structure plans proposals for greenfield housing development in England covering more than 431sq km. Councils are willing to earmark greenfield sites despite government policy prioritising the use of urban brownfield sites. CPRE is calling on the government to increase its national brownfield housing target from 60% to 75%.
