Explores trends in UK stadia development over the last decade and argues that stadia development and redevelopment issues form part of the wider urban regeneration debate. Citing as examples major UK football stadia, the paper suggests that stadia feasibility is affected by land, infrastructure and property development opportunities and that stadia development interacts with other commercial development opportunities. Concludes that future stadia provision will be driven by football financing and regeneration and property development opportunities.
