Financial Services Authority (FSA) publishes a consultation paper (CP 169) for personal investment firms. It is aimed at formalising the short-term modifications made to its rules in November 2002. Some IFAs were having difficulty in obtaining compliant cover and this is designed to increase availability in the Professional Indemnity Insurance market for this sector. The FSA has tried to reflect as many of the views of market participants as it could.
